Cute MM Stuff

I'll list here some cute MM stuff or witticisms:

G: Life is short.

MM: Life is shit!

LOL MM couldn't do the "or" sound yet at that time.

Once, when he saw me come into the house, the first thing he asked, "Where's Uncle, Aunt?" He didn't give me time to answer, but asked it another time.

He really missed his favorite uncle!

Before, he'd ask H where's Aunt, but I guess that phase didn't last long. LOL

MM loves to watch the colors show. It's a teaching program about colors in Chinese.

Once, G told us that MM talked in his sleep. He recited all the colors--in Chinese.

Speaking of which, at the dinner table, he once started reciting all the fruits: xiang jiao - banana, ping guo - apple, pu tao yiu --

He stopped coz he didn't know the English word. The video only taught Chinese, no English translation, which usually came from us. But still, wow. He also knows "nan gua" - pumpkin, and animals like "mao tou ying" - owl, and "zhuo mu niao" - woodpecker.

And once when we came out of Marche at Vivo City, he looked up into the night sky and said, "Lan che". He was referring to the cable cars that go to and fro Sentosa.

I didn't even know that. As I said, "wow".

It's grapefruit ("pu tao yiu"), by the way.

He's really very mischievous!

G: Do you love Mommy?

MM: Yes.

G: Do you love Aunt?

MM: Yes.

G: Do you love Daddy?

MM: No. (with a mischievous smile to let you know he's joking.)

His favorite words: "No" and "Only".

MM only!

Ayaw mag-brush your teeth! (I don't want to brush my teeth!)

Ayaw mag-sit! (I don't want to sit!)

When I give him food he doesn't want to eat, he'd push my hand away and said, "Aunt only!"

Not long after they arrived in September, we were at dinner and I was seated beside MM. I was surprised when he suddenly turned to me, gave me a hug and said, "I love you, Aunt!"

I hugged him back and said, "I love you, too, MM!"

Then, he looked at where H was sitting and said, "I love you, Uncle!"

But alas, H wasn't there. He was in the kitchen helping to bring out the fruits. When he finally came back, MM wouldn't say the words again.
